Less than more to come

When a person that has been respected and looked up to passes from this life many morn. Some regret that their life has been meaningless and little has been accomplished. Others crawl away and disappear because they feel inadequate. Then there are those that do not think about it and just go on. Should one live life collecting achievements and good deeds like one collects pennies in a jar? Or be like the flag bearer during the battle that lays dying and hands off the flag saying, "Carry it well, I only held it for a moment but I carried it well, so please continue to carry it well, then pass it to be carried on ... well"

Republican's against what?!?

Some Republicans are getting tired of what's going on in Washington DC and were going to start a internet site called: "REPUBLICIANS AGAINST BOHNNER'S". Unfortunately they realized saying it sounded different than reading it and decided against it.

Never Late.

The church service started and a few minutes later two young alter servers arrived late. The Pastor smiling looked at them and in a comforting voice said, "In the eyes of God you are never late. God knows you were praying very hard to make it here on time."

Reaity What a Concept!

I am not a fan of Reality TV. I am a fan of Reality Life. There is one family I see around the neighborhood. It is a family full of life, love and mutual respect for each other. Their family aura effects all those around them with the same good feelings. The youngest and female child is a hand full. She is hand full of love and joy. She is also a hand full of life; a hand full of wonder and curiosity. When I get an injury it is something I want to get rid of and heal. No matter how much honey I put on that booboo. It simply will not heal fast enough. Turn off the TV once in awhile and enjoy the reality of life and the wonderful people in it.

New Job

I landed a new part time job at an answering service. For years I abused those poor people so I took the job to make up for it. Turns out they are the best group of people I have ever had the pleasure to work with. The main problem is they are hard people to have conversations with. For some reason those darn phones we have to answer keep ringing.

Say Again!

In life I find myself getting angry at sayings like, "learn by your mistakes. If you get lemons make lemonade. When one door closes another opens. Finally Trust in God." After many; many hardships all these sayings proved true. What makes me mad is the time I spend in worry and stress during these times. What is hard to remember is, when going thru a new open door; make sure I close the old door behind me.

Click oops!

When I was young I was sitting in front of a very new television. It was 1960. I asked my mother this question. "In school today the teacher told us a story of Pandora's Box. What exactly she talking about? What is Pandora's box? "You are watching it." she said." I remembered this just after watching "The Snowtown Murders" on Netflix in 2013. The box is very open.

I'm Back

Since no one really reads this I decided to take a small vacation. When I came back the only one that missed me was my pet dog. Well, only when I replaced his battery. Now he is fixed and breathing again. My daughter called me and said they went to Florida to check on Grandma who may be having memory problems. Of course my Daughter and her son got lost on the way down. They did eventually find her house. Grandma is doing fine.

Why Mommy?

I do volunteer work in a Hospital and over heard a little boy ask this question to his mother. "Mommy why do dumb people have smart phones?" It was a maternity waiting room and there was a lot of cell phones going off with different annoying ring tones. Also a lot of loud people screaming, "The Baby is here!" Then cell phone pictures galore being passed around. One family was actually talking to the mother during the birth and yelling "push" "Your doing good. We are here for you!" I agreed with the little boy. Although that is why I like my volunteer job, I learn a lot.

Stroke Recovery

My former wife had a mini stroke. This is a big fear of mine and my daughter was pretty worried about it. It was a mutual decision to part ways. I am very glad we have a wonderful daughter that was very understanding during our departure from each other. My daughter also related my past partner had lost parts of her memory. The doctor thinks she should recover most of it but it may take awhile. My daughter said it would be ok to visit her and her new husband was ok with it also. Probably because of her memory loss she would not remember being angry about our bad times together. Unfortunately her husband is having a rough time. Seems she thinks he is me and has been yelling at him quite a bit. So I decided maybe I should wait and visit her later.

Male Bonding Story.

My Grandfather instructed me to always open a door for members of the opposite sex. "Why?" Was my curious response. He then explained that one day a man entered his cave like he did every day, but on this day a rock fell and hit him on the head while entering the cave. Since then he always let the woman go first. Thus began the notion that man was curtious to the opposite sex. The woman never caught on because rocks did not fall all the time. When they did. The rocks usually killed them. If not the man helped the woman recover from her injuries. This also led the woman to stay in the cave after recovery and gave the notion that man was a caregiver. Since not enough rocks were falling and the man wanted a woman to stay and share the cave with the man. Man came up with the idea of sneaking up behind woman and knocking her out with rocks. Then later because the clubs were more effective and less likely to kill the woman. Clubs were used more and more. The man always told the woman during recovery, "You are lucky you should have seen the size of the rock that hit you." Later on the woman began to suspect something was up with the man and started calling him a caveman. Not because he lived in a cave but what happened to her skull after he hit her
.
Opening the car door for a woman came later when the man needed to test the car brake.

Wreck Cog Nation

Walking down a street or passing people by what do you do?  Try to be invisible to everyone. Walk a little faster.  Put on a non expressive face.  Or Say a friendly hello.  Make a little smile and back it up with a nod.  Which one makes you feel?  Which one makes you not?  What makes someone recognize another person?  What makes your neurons fire or not fire? ...........Hello! or Hell.....O!

Friends.

The best thing about friends is that they accept me.  This makes it easy for me to accept them.  Every now and then acceptance can be tricky.  Like when my one friend was excited about her homemade multicolored rubber flip flop wreath decoration for her door.  I just think about my mom giving my dad a wooden paint mixer with an empty plastic six soda can holder stapled to it.  He needed this to kill flies.  Those presents she gave my Dads helped me accept things.  The Styrofoam empty egg carton garbage cans were helpful also.   Plus they are easy to make.  Just make sure to use colorful yarn to tie the egg cartons together.

Judas - A lesson in economics that isn't funny.

It is said that Judas committed suicide after he betrayed Jesus.
One of the reasons was he felt guilty because he betrayed Jesus.
Another reason was he had to do it, with Jesus knowledge, to fulfill the prophecy.
The third reason no one acknowledges.
It was revealed to Judas after it was done.
That the exploitation of  his betrayal/Jesus death.  Would create power and wealth beyond his imagination to a future Christian Religion.  Based on the fact that he only did it for 32 pieces of silver, when he could have made so much more.  He would not only be labeled a traitor but also a fool.  This was the motivation for his suicidal actions!
The act was accomplished after another revelation that other religions would be started for similar power and wealth.  Thus wars, hatred and violence would be born because God's infinite pocket book was more important to man than his word.
Welcome to The Crusades, Boston, the Twin towers, gun violence and our children's future.
If you had the same opportunity and knowledge Judas had what would you do?

Holy Days!

One interesting fact about life is that somewhere, sometime one will confront religion.  Some born into one, others will discover and explore religion.  Then a choice is made to accept or reject certain beliefs, God, and or a way of life that religion provides.  One little girl was confronted by an inquisitive classmate one day.  The big question was the Virgin Birth.  They concluded that life itself is an impossibility so a Virgin giving birth was not that big of a deal.  Then the classroom bell rang and it was time for recess.

Wiz Dumb

Every now and then all of us get a shot at thoughts and words of wisdom.

Child asks his grandfather.  "Will I ever get old?"
Grandfather replies, "Give it time and time will tell."
"Why is there life on this planet and why am I here?"  Just about everyone wants to know.
The only one who has the answer is Fred.  Unfortunately he got on the wrong spaceship and ended up somewhere else.

Power Short Out Age.

Cavemen were mostly in the dark I believe. Fire was a big help. Every now and then the fire would go out and that was their power outage time.

I had a recent power outage. All the power in my neighborhood was out for over 12 hours. I could not understand why it was so dark. Then I realized that at night even though the lights are off. All the LED lights on my clock, phone, TV, VCR and various other electronics did light up my darkened house a bit. I was surprised at how many of these little red lights I had. When they went out, during the power loss, it really made a difference. Sometime it amazes me what I learn just sitting in the dark.

Simply Abby

My sisters Grandperson had some advice for her classmates:

"Being in a homework group in her class, one of the boys didn't do his homework one night and was given a minus 1 point. Abby decided to relay the following warning:
If you keep forgetting to do your homework, you will continue to get points deducted from your grade and before you know it, you will be kept back in school and pretty soon you will be so behind, you will decide to quit school, then you won't be able to find a job and then you won't have any money and you will end up home less, living in the streets and eating out of garbage cans, from which you will catch nasty bacteria and then you will die. Said male student hasn't forgotten his home work since."

Does not compute.

Computing started with a Commodore 64.  Today it is a 64 bit Windows 8 nightmare with viruses, hackers and spam.  I thought it was going to get easier and for awhile it did.  Now it is complicated to me.  Especially with all the "fix your computer and make it faster'" software that is all over the Internet.  I don't buy a car and then buy brakes after to make it stop.  The brakes worked when I bought the car.  Of course now cars are beginning to get more technology in them and in the future maybe you will have to buy break software.  For a technology that is suppose to have gotten faster and more reliable it seems to have gotten more expensive and unreliable.  Is it only me that thinks this?
Thank God for the people in India.  It seems they are the only ones that know how to fix this stuff.  Plus they are only a phone call away.  Still I continue with my computer and keep coming back like an abused person.  Why for some reason, does this not compute?

Hello Again.

A long time ago I met a person that was going to find the end of the Universe. I saw the same person the other day. It occurred to me that maybe that person did not leave yet. Or, the Universe is much smaller than imagined.

Cheap Military Weapons On Sale Today!

A group of veterans were discussing how America sells weapons and military technology to foreign countries and how sometimes these weapons end up in our enemy's hands. Don't worry one man said America is not stupid enough to sell foreign governments our good weapons or technology. We sell them cheap weapons and inferior technology. Wow! Explained another man. That explains the veteran that just got back from Afghanistan. He lost 2 legs and an arm over there. If the enemy had the good technology and weapons he would have been killed.

Grandparents Giving Gifts.

I recently was contacted by my daughter requesting I discontinue my gift giving.  It seems that she is running out of room.  Five children seem to take up and use  lot of space.  I was a little bummed.  Then I found some great toy box containers online.  I like helping out my daughter.

Look on the bright side.

I once heard someone say. "In order to find out the secret of life one must die." Then he said, What if there is no life after death? If this is true why even bother with the question of life or death at all?" Of course it is lent and he is bummed about fasting.

Stabbing my hand.

I lost a fight with a frozen breakfast sausage. It was stuck to another one. I tried to separate them with a knife. The nurse in the Emergency Room was kind. I found Wattpad on the Internet. I like reading other people's stories. My hand still hurts. I am not laughing. But I am in stitches.

Waiting.

A waitress approaches a table and sees a regular customer sitting alone. Where is your wife? Inquired the waitress. Well after 61 years of marriage she passed on. "I am so sorry," was the saddened reply of the waitress. "Oh it is ok." Comforted the old man. "Like all of us she has been waiting a long time for that to happen." He then ordered, ate and left a good tip. As usual.

Toilet Seats UP!

The other day I experienced why women get angry when the toilet seat is up. I forgot it was up and fell in. It is a very wet and cold experience and not in a good way. Then I remembered working in a prison and noticed that there are no toilet seats in prison cells. Could that be considered cruel and unusual punishment?

Be good motovation.

My mom was a great motivator. I was being exceptionally bad one day. She very patiently explained to me, "If you don't want to be good and obey me. You better obey God. I can only ground and punish you. He will send you to the fires of hell which are hotter than the fires in a lava filled volcano". "Plus if you are good I give you candy and home baked treats". I became an Altar Boy and went for the baked goods.

Time Travelers

I am a Time Traveler.  I have traveled from 1952 to today.  I have seen changes traveling from past to the future of today.  We are all time travelers.  Each day we begin to travel 24 hours from past,  in the present.  Then at the end of the day we are in the future.  We travel faster when we sleep.  Pay attention to the present it may influence your future as you remember the past.  Travel well and safe.
